AZ Politicos Attend Trump’s Historic Comeback Inauguration

Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States is a rare and historic event. It marked only the second time a president has served non-consecutive terms—the first being Grover Cleveland in 1892. At 78 years old, Trump also became the oldest inaugurated President, surpassing the previous record held by Biden.

Due to record-cold temperatures, the Inaugural Committee moved the ceremony indoors to the U.S. Capitol Rotunda, which was also history-making—it’s been 40 years since this last occurred.

Although moving the inaugural event indoors resulted in a drastic reduction in the number of attendees, from thousands to just around 600, the guests included a diverse group of dignitaries, including many Arizona politicos.

AZ State Senator Wendy Rogers (R-LD7) told The Arizona Globe, “Halfway to DC, we heard the inauguration was moved indoors. Good, because we want President Trump safe! He alone is a historic transformative figure, not only for the United States, but for the world as already shown by the Trump Effect!” She continued, “These past four years have been incredibly difficult for America and me, due to the globalist-led erosion of our economy, borders, energy independence, geopolitical stature, national security, and free speech.”

Rogers added, “Trust me; in 100 days, President Trump will restore our country back on course. Prosperity, security, and American esprit d’corps will resurge. There is a palpable feeling wherever we walk in Washington DC right now, despite the cold, that this country is resurging. We are very excited!”

Sen. Rogers joined Arizona’s Senate President Warren Peters for a selfie at the inauguration!
