Arizona State Troopers Association Endorses Sen. Wendy Rogers for Re-Election

Senator Wendy Rogers has earned the endorsement of the Arizona State Troopers Association (AZSTA) for her re-election campaign, adding another respected law enforcement organization to her growing coalition of support.

The Arizona State Troopers Association, which represents employees of the Arizona Department of Public Safety, announced that its Board of Directors voted to endorse Rogers after considering her record of ethics, integrity, and commitment to public safety.

“As an organization representing Department of Public Safety employees, the Arizona State Troopers Association considers many factors when endorsing a political candidate,” wrote AZSTA President Jeffery Hawkins. “Qualities such as ethics and integrity are at the top of the list. Additionally, a commitment to public safety should be a leading priority for any candidate seeking public office, as well as a willingness to adequately fund public safety.”

Throughout her service in the Arizona Senate, Rogers has consistently supported Arizona’s law enforcement officers and first responders. She has championed stronger border security, tougher penalties for violent criminals, increased cooperation between state and federal law enforcement, and legislation that gives officers the tools they need to protect Arizona communities. As Chair of the Senate Judiciary and Elections Committee, she has also worked to advance legislation strengthening public safety, victims’ rights, and the rule of law.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Arizona State Troopers Association,” Rogers said. “Our state troopers put themselves in harm’s way every day to keep Arizona families safe. They deserve leaders who will stand behind them, support them, and ensure they have the resources they need to do their jobs safely and effectively.”

The endorsement reflects the confidence Arizona’s state troopers have in Rogers’ record of supporting public safety and recognizes her continued commitment to standing with the men and women who serve on the front lines protecting communities across Arizona.
