State Sen. Wendy Rogers, who represents Legislative District 7, testified before the committee alongside Williams Mayor Don Dent, Tusayan Mayor Clarinda Vail and other northern Arizona officials. “This is a road that has lived beyond its ability to carry motorists safely,” Rogers told committee members. “So many deaths on this road and it needs remedial work.”
