At a press conference today, U.S. House Rep and member of “The Squad” Rashida Tlaib went on a bizarre, tearful rant during a press conference. The rant appeared to be mainly targeting her fellow U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and Republicans in general, but also veered off on tangents at times too.
Arizona GOP State Sen Wendy Rogers was unconvinced by the weeping and buzzwords that Tlaib threw around during the rant.
Tlaib and her fellow members are attempting to get Boebert disciplined for a joke that she had made about U.S. House Rep and Tlaib’s fellow “Squad” member Ilhan Omar (D-MN).
In a quote tweet of a clip of Tlaib’s rant that was shared by The Hill, Rogers mocked, “Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa” followed by five “loudly crying face” emojis. Rogers then asked, “What is she talking about?” followed by a “facepalm” emoji.
Tlaib began the clip by suggesting that “This is hard, this is hard for all of us. You know women in politics, the violence towards us in increasing.” That point is a bit confusing, seeing as how Boebert is a woman herself, so it is unclear how such an accusation would apply.
