As Arizona legislators including State Senator Wendy Rogers (AZ-R) begin to wrap up a forensic audit there and assess how to analyze all the data garnered from that, Pennsylvania is just beginning. In fact, red states and swing states around the nation are using Arizona as the possible model for forensic audits of the 2020 election and possibly more.
This movement is to make sure that the elections are actually what we are told they are as mail-in voting made many Republicans question the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. Former President Trump continues to claim the election was not fair and Rogers in Arizona is determined to make sure it was, or take action if anything fishy does show up.
State Senator Doug Mastriano (R-PA) is at the forefront of the new movement. Rogers hosted Mastriano in Arizona when he visited to learn more about their process with the Maricopa County audit. Rogers tweeted out just this morning in reference to the audit in Pennsylvania:
“I was honored to help host Colonel Doug Mastrianoat at the AZ Audit when he came to Arizona and now he is making big things happen! Keep your eyes on Pennsylvania!!! US Military getting it done!”
Senator Mastriano put out a release saying in part:
“Today as chair of the Intergovernmental Operations Committee, I issued letters to several counties requesting information and materials needed to conduct a forensic investigation of the 2020 general election and the 2021 primary. […] We have asked these counties to respond by July 31st with a plan to comply. The counties represent different geographical regions of Pennsylvania and different political makeups. Some are Republican while others are Democrat, which means that this will be a balanced investigation.”
The release also mentions in part later in the message that “millions of Pennsylvanians have serious doubts about the accuracy of the 2020 General Election”. Read the full release:
