“This bill, which had broad bi-partisan support, allows individuals to opt into a system that requires county recorders to send a notification if the individual is a named party in a recorded instrument. This includes any action taken against a person’s title. The notice will be sent promptly via email, text message, or other similar means. […] This new law significantly increases consumer protection, especially for the elderly who saved their whole lives and rightfully own their own homes free and clear.”
