Senator Wendy Rogers has once again reaffirmed her commitment to Arizona taxpayers by signing the Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) Taxpayer Protection Pledge, a written promise to oppose and vote against any effort to raise taxes.
Ahead of Arizona’s July 21 primary election, Americans for Tax Reform recognized Senator Rogers as one of the candidates who has made this commitment, ensuring voters know exactly where she stands on taxes and government spending.
For more than four decades, the Taxpayer Protection Pledge has been the gold standard for fiscal conservatives. Created by Americans for Tax Reform in 1985 at the urging of President Ronald Reagan, the pledge requires candidates to make a public, written commitment to oppose tax increases if elected. Today, more than 1,400 elected officials and candidates at the federal and state levels have signed the pledge, helping provide accountability to taxpayers.
Throughout her time in the Arizona Senate, Wendy Rogers has consistently fought for lower taxes, responsible government spending, and policies that strengthen Arizona’s economy rather than burden families and small businesses with higher taxes. Her record reflects a long-standing belief that hardworking Arizonans deserve to keep more of what they earn.
“Candidates often promise they won’t raise taxes, only to change course after they’re elected,” ATR noted in announcing this year’s Arizona pledge signers. “The Taxpayer Protection Pledge requires candidates to put that commitment in writing, making it harder to reverse course.”
