Sen. Wendy Rogers spoke in support of her bill, SB 1121, the Defend The Guard Act. The bill would prohibit the deployment of the Arizona National Guard to an overseas conflict zone except in the event that Congress declares war. Sen. Rogers asserted that Arizona has the right to do so, and should stand up for itself regardless of any threats made to defund the Guard. Rogers also pushed back on misleading statements about her legislation.
